The year 2012 is an important milestone in the history of the Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra since it marks the 40th Anniversary of the Orchestra’s independence having existed prior to that date as a Local Authority evening class.
Apart from 2012 being an Olympiad based in London, the year sees the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. We are thus taking the opportunity to celebrate these three occasions in our forthcoming concert season culminating in a festive June concert.
Music by the Strauss family will feature in our traditional New Year’s Viennese Concert when we shall be joined by Susan Black (soprano). Fairy Tales provide the stories behind the music for our Family Concert in March.
We hope you will be able to join us as we celebrate the season. We are holding our ticket prices with a discount obtainable by enrolling as a Friend with tickets for a four concerts for the price of just three concerts. Full details available on the Friends link on the Home Page. |
