Susan has a wide repertoire, from early music to new works of contemporary composers, covering opera, light opera, oratorio, recitals and concert work.
She has performed in concert halls, theatres and cathedrals throughout the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands, and in France, Germany, Spain, Holland, Washington DC., South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Susan has had the privilege of performing all the greatest leading roles in the grand opera repertoire, the most recent being “Elizabetta” in Don Carlos, and the title role in Tosca.
Over the last few years, Susan has taken up the baton and has conducted several light operas and Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. She was recently the MD for a production of HMS Pinafore.
In June last year, Susan was the stage director for a production of La Traviata, in Cheltenham, for Bel Canto Opera.
Susan has shared the platform with many local Choral Societies, Brass Bands, Orchestras and Opera Companies, Male Voice Choirs, including The Morriston Orpheus and Treorchy Male Choirs, The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, The Band of the Grenadier Guards, Fine Arts Brass Ensemble, The English Symphony Orchestra, The Band of the Royal Air Force, The Band of the Blues and Royals, The Band of the Wessex Yeomanry and other Military Bands.
Being a practical person, she has also turned her hand to many back-stage activities! Designing and making costumes, running props teams and stage-management to name but a few!
As a voice coach, Susan has had many years experience, teaching in schools and at home, and never loses the joy in helping others discover their own personal instrument.
